Eyjafjörður

Note: There is some more recent information on Iceland on my web page about my May, 2002 trip to Iceland,  Iceland, Round 2.  The itinerary of that trip is substantially different from this one, and includes the Westfjords and the Snæfellsnes Peninsula.

Why Iceland?

Why not? I read Jules Verne's Journey to the Centre of the Earth when I was a kid, and since then have always wondered what it would be like to go to Iceland. The most recent time I wondered, I decided to find out, and without any plans for what I'd do once I got there, bought plane tickets to Reykjavík.

These web pages are a chronicle of my trip. I hope that any readers who are planning trips to Iceland find them useful, and that readers not planning trips to Iceland find them at least marginally entertaining.

I welcome comments or questions. Please e-mail me at  iceland@theinternetisboring.com.
