Starting Point: Superior National Forest

Ending Point: Duluth, MN (actually, Superior, WI, but who's counting?)

States visited: Minnesota, Wisconsin

Dining: Pasties (not pastries) at a bakery in Ely, malts for lunch in Duluth, dinner at an Indian restaurant in Duluth where the waitress was indignant when, after she asked me whether I wanted it mild, medium, or hot, I asked "Indian hot or Minnesota hot?" Her protestations to the contrary, it was Minnesota hot.

Accommodations: The Budget Inn (Welcome Canadians!), a skeazy hotel in Superior.

Comments: Duluth is a surprisingly fun city, with a walking path along the lakeshore. It was crowded while we were in town due to the Duluth Blues Festival.

Would we come back? Yep.
